Sobriety Checkpoint Led to 12 DUI Arrest

sobriety-checkpoint-signAccording to Kansas City police, 12 individuals were arrested for driving under the influence during a sobriety checkpoint. The spot check was set up at 70th Street and Troost Avenue.

During the joint checkpoint conducted by the Police and Jackson County sheriffs deputies, 381 vehicles were screened. Aside from the 12 DUI arrests, six motorists were cited for driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Other arrests included cocaine possession, hazardous moving violations and outstanding warrants.
