NTSB Recommends Lowering of Blood Alcohol Limit

NTSB Recommends Lowering of Blood Alcohol LimitJust recently, NSTB (The National Transportation Safety Board) proposed a reduction of the blood alcohol limit for driving under the influence from 0.08 to 0.05.

According to the report, New Jersey is one of those states that rank high in drunken driving injuries. In fact, there were about 193 DUI fatalities in 2011.

Since there were approximately 10,000 deaths every year related to driving under the influence, lowering the limit, according to NTSB, will help save 500 to 800 lives each year.
