Following a car crash in Jade Garden Parking Lot, Levi James Roope was arrested last Friday for felony DUI.
According to police report, the suspect refused to submit himself to a breathalyzer test. At the hospital, Roope fought with the police officers and was finally controlled after the latter threatened to use a Taser.
Assistant Police Chief Steve Hagen said, “The officers struggled with him, grabbed him. The officers and the suspect went to the ground. The officers were basically covered in the suspect’s blood, had it on their face.”
