DUI Checkpoints Yielded to 18 ArrestsAccording to Petaluma police officials, two DUI checkpoints in Petaluma lead to 18 arrests involving license violations. While the authorities were conducting night checkpoints, at least three road accidents involving drunk driving took place in town.

With the first checkpoint set up on Old Redwood, at least 574 drivers were screened. Apparently, police officers were looking for signs of intoxication and license violations.

The second checkpoint was set up on East Washington Street where 328 drivers were screened.
