Driver Faces DUI Charge After Hitting a 2-Year Old Girl

arrested man27-year old Kellen Bledsoe was charged last Sunday with DUI after he struck a 2-year old girl walking with her grandmother to a day-care center.

According to prosecutors, Bledsoe’s alcohol level was at 0.25 percent- more than three times the legal limit. The toddler was walking with her grandmother when a 1999 Chrysler Concord ran a stop sign and struck the child.

In addition to DUI, the suspect was also charged with reckless homicide in a construction zone, aggravated driving under the influence in an accident causing death, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving without a license.
