A Million Pounds Worth of Jewelry and Watches Stolen

A Million Pounds Worth of Jewelry and Watches StolenTwo men robbed a jewelry store in Edinburgh and got away with £1 million worth of diamond necklaces, engagements rings and luxury watches. The robbers got in at Tuesday afternoon and used an axe to break the glass displays. One of the men, who appeared to be carrying a hand gun, grabbed a shop assistant and forced her to open a window display.

Both men then put on helmets and made off with the jewelry on a motorbike. The black Honda 650 motorbike was later found abandoned in Northumberland Street Lane North. One of the men’s helmets was red and the other was white.
Patrol officers are now frequently monitoring the area. The shop has been closed since the robbery but will resume business on Thursday.
