By definition, domestic violence is an act of threatening violence, and abuse between family members, couples, and individuals or groups.

In the United Kingdom alone, one in every four women and one in every six men suffer domestic violence. Furthermore, two women are supposedly killed weekly after suffering domestic violence from their partners.

In layman’s terms, domestic violence is the any incident where beating, slapping, and hitting profusely takes place. Aside from the physical abuse, the scope of domestic violence also includes emotional abuse, forced marriages, and honor crimes.

It is already considered abuse when your partner or anyone you know does the following:

– Threatening

– Pushing or shoving forcefully

– Demoralization

– Taking over your life

– Possessive to obsessive treatment
